Meticulous Abatement for Auckland Properties
Asbestos was an extremely common constituent in New Zealand building materials prior to its prohibition. If your home was constructed or renovated before 1990, it is highly probable that asbestos is present in your roof sheets, soffits, textured ceilings, or vinyl flooring backing.
When these materials age, crack, or are disturbed during renovation, they release microscopic fibres into the air. Inhalation of these fibres is directly linked to severe, irreversible respiratory diseases including mesothelioma and asbestosis.
- Absolute containment using localized negative air pressure
- Meticulous unbolting (never breaking) of hazardous roof sheets
- Thorough HEPA-filtration vacuuming of the entire ceiling cavity
- Immediate, synchronized installation of your new safe roof overlay
The "One Contractor" Advantage
Coordinating separate asbestos removalists and roofing installers often leaves your home exposed to the weather for days while waiting for clearance tests. We handle the entire sequence in-house. The moment the independent hygienist clears the removed site, our roofing team immediately begins installing your new, watertight Colorsteel roof.
Comprehensive Abatement Services
We possess the licensing, equipment, and highly-trained personnel to legally remove any asbestos-containing material from your property.
Class A & B Licensed
NZ WorkSafe Compliant
We hold full certification for both friable (Class A) and non-friable (Class B) asbestos removal. This means there is no project too complex or hazardous for our team to handle legally.

Asbestos FAQ
It heavily depends on the location and scope of the removal. For external roof removals, you can often remain safely inside the home, as we seal all windows and establish a strict exterior exclusion zone. However, for major internal removals (like ceilings or multiple rooms of flooring), you must vacate the premises until the independent hygienist issues a final air clearance certificate.
A standard residential asbestos roof removal usually takes 1 to 2 days for the careful unbolting, double-wrapping, and rigorous decontamination phase. We synchronize tightly with our roofing installation teams so your new roof goes on almost immediately after the clearance certificate is issued, ensuring your home is never left exposed.
Safety does not stop at your property line. All removed asbestos materials are immediately double-sealed in heavy-duty 200-micron polythene wrapping, clearly labeled as hazardous waste, and transported in licensed vehicles to specialized, EPA-approved landfill facilities designated specifically for hazardous material deep-burial.
Under New Zealand law, homeowners are legally allowed to remove up to 10 square meters of non-friable asbestos themselves. However, we strongly advise against this. Breaking a single sheet releases millions of microscopic, carcinogenic fibres. The severe health risks to your family and your neighbors, combined with the extreme difficulty of legal disposal, make DIY removal incredibly dangerous.
